Mike and Tawni Sandy

FCC is very excited to support Mike and Tawni Sandy. Mike grew up in Napa and attended church here at First Christian. After high school, he moved down south to attend SDSU. While he was attending SDSU, God began to really work in Mike, and change the direction of his life. He became very involved in a local church and began going on short-term mission trips. God brought Tawni into his life, who shares his passion for missions. They were married in 2012.

Mike and Tawni discovered they were going to have a baby when they were getting ready to leave. That baby arrived shortly after they landed in Thailand. Peter Joseph Sandy arrived in the summer of 2013 and was instantly a real addition to the Sandy team. You can imagine how this tiny little boy opened up many opportunities to talk to other young moms as Tawni went shopping and on walks. And now, sweet little Peter has two sisters and a little brother!

The Sandys left Southern California in the spring of 2013 with these words as their motto, “World Changers to the Nations”. They are working with college-age youth, learning the language, adjusting to newlywed life, learning to be new parents, and loving every minute of it. We are so happy to be a part of this young couple’s life as they experience God's adventure for them in Thailand. They live in the large city of Chiang Mai and have already started “Life” groups in their home. We are looking forward to many years supporting Mike, Tawni, and their family.
