New To FCC?

If this is your first time with us, or you are fairly new, welcome! We are so glad you have decided to spend part of your day with us. We hope you feel welcome. We would love to meet you and answer any questions you might have. Pastor Allen or another staff member will be hanging out in the Courtyard Room after the service today. Stop in and say hello!

You may be wondering what this church is all about. Simply put, loving people and loving God. Our desire is that everyone who attends here would recognize that we are a family for families. We are all about living in God’s grace so everyone experiences God’s love.

We have a great time planned for your kids. Our Kids Ministry during the 10 am service. Kids at First is our Kids Ministry. We offer activities for babies through 5th grade. We LOVE kids and their safety is important to us. All of our volunteers are fingerprinted and background checked. Stop by the First-time Check-in to learn more about what your kids will be doing.

Have middle or high schools students? Sunday nights are just for them! Student Ministries meets from 6:30-8:30 pm in room 116 (off the west parking lot).

Back to Sunday mornings, you may want to know what to expect, now that you are here. We usually sing a few songs led by our worship team. Our worship in song is contemporary, upbeat and often energetic. Communion is an important part of our weekly services. We practice open communion, which means that all followers of Jesus Christ are invited to partake regardless of church background. If you are not yet ready to participate in communion, simply pass the tray. Following worship in song and communion, we usually have a few announcements and collect tithes and offerings before the pastor gives the message. After hearing the message, we often sing one more song.

Want to know more about us? Well our building may not look ancient... but we have been around for quite a while. In fact, our church roots date back to 1857. We are a non-denominational church, part of a brotherhood of Christian churches. Are you a history buff? Pick up one of our 150th anniversary books.

We hope you enjoy the service today. If you have any questions, feel free to ask a staff member, or anyone from our Hospitality Team (they are wearing the orange lanyards). Our church office is open Monday-Thursday, feel free to give us a call if you have a question during the week.
