What Should I Expect?

Planning to visit us for the first time? We would love to have you join us. Our Sunday service is at 10 am.

Here's what to expect at one of our Sunday morning worship services:

When the service begins, we usually sing a few songs led by our worship team. Our worship in song is contemporary, upbeat and often energetic. Communion is an important part of our weekly services. We practice open communion, which means that all followers of Jesus Christ are invited to partake regardless of church background. If you are not yet ready to participate in communion, simply pass the tray. Following worship in song and communion, we usually have a few announcements and collect tithes and offerings before the pastor gives the message. After hearing the message, we often sing one more song.

We want you to know we are here for you. Whether you are exploring, spiritually curious, or you have a dynamic faith life, it’s our hope to add value to your life journey. Our purpose is to help connect people Jesus Christ. It is our hearts desire to welcome you into our church where you will encounter God, make you feel comfortable as friends, where you grow with each other in a small group community and serve one another, the Napa Valley, and beyond.

What Should I Wear?

First Christian Church is a casual church. On any given Sunday, you will see people in jeans and T-shirts to sports coats, dress shoes to flip-flops. We want you to wear what's comfortable for you.

What About My kids?

Kids@First is our Kids Ministry. We offer activities for kids in the nursery through 5th Grade. Our Nursery through Pre-K program is called Ahava Valley. Our Kindergarten through 5th Grade program is called Larger Than Life. You'll see as you enter our Kids@First Lobby that we LOVE kids!

If this is your first Sunday, come to the Kids@First Lobby Information Desk. We'll help:

  • Register

  • Get a name tag

  • Connect your child to their group

Safety is very important to us, and all of our adult helpers are fingerprinted and have had background checks. For more info about our Kids Ministry, visit

i have middle & high school students, is there something for them?

Sunday mornings, parents and their students worship together as a family. To encourage family worship, there isn't an age specific gathering for Middle and High School students. Students are encouraged to participate or serve in Sunday services in the same way an adult would.

We have Sunday evening activities for students. Middle School & High School have a Sunday night gathering 6:30-8:30 pm - more info available at

What About Giving?

If you are new to First Christian Church and feel compelled to give, feel free, but there is no pressure to give.  Giving is designed to be an act of worship for those who call FCC home. If you would like to read more about tithes and offerings, please take a "Giving" brochure found in the Information Area of the Worship Center.

How Do I Get to FCC?

From Hwy 29 take the First Street exit. Head west, and you will see FCC on the left side of the road.  We are located at 2659 First Street.  Click here for more specific directions.
