tami francke, spiritual life director
I moved a lot as a child but settled in the Midwest as a teenager. I attended the University of Kansas and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1985. I will always love KU because I met my wonderful husband David there. We were dance partners in a musical variety show. He was a strong Christian and I didn’t believe in God when we met. Because Christ was so evident in David, I fell in love with both of them! I accepted Christ as my Savior in October of 1984 and David and I were married in 1987. We have 3 fun kids – Libby, Sarah, and Michael.
I worked at IBM as a Sales Representative for eight years and “retired” after our children were born. During my years as a stay at home Mom, I was able to attend Community Bible Study (CBS) in Chicago. We moved to Napa in 2001 and became members of First Christian Church. Through the years I have enjoyed serving God at FCC as a small group leader, worship team member, Kids@First group leader, and Equip teacher. I have also served God in a leadership role at Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) since 2009.
I am thrilled to be on the staff of FCC as the Spiritual Life Director. I have felt God calling me to use all that I have learned through my in-depth study of His Word and share it with His church. My goal is to help people grow in their love for God and love for others. One of my favorite verses is from Luke 1:45 “Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished!” I am trusting this promise from God in my new calling.
