Helping the community with relief from the fires
We are checking in regularly with Napa Chaplain, Lee Shaw and the Salvation Army as well as other community organizations for updates and needs. Please check back here and on Facebook and Instagram to find out what the latest needs are.
Current known needs as of 4 pm 10/18/17:
- Help the Napa Valley Food Bank assemble and distribute boxes of food to victims of the Napa fires. Sign up for a three hour shift here.
Many are asking how they can give financially to help with the relief and recovery from the fires. We would recommend three different options.
- Give to directly to our ministry partner, the Napa Salvation Army at gosalarmy.org. We believe they are best suited to meet the growing needs of disaster relief in Napa and surrounding communities
- Drop off Gift Cards to our front office or the Scrip window on Sunday. We will distribute the cards to those recovering from the fire; both directly and through the Salvation Army.
- Donate to the First Christian Church Benevolence Fund at http://www.fccnapa.org/give/. Click “Give Online” and select “TR Benevolence” from the drop down menu. This allows us to meet the specific needs of those in our community directly as they arise.
