Here’s what kids and families will experience when joining us on Sunday mornings!

When you enter the Kids’ Lobby, you’ll see that we value kids! The park, mountain and valley scenes will remind kids that God is with us everywhere!

FIRST TIME GUEST?
Our greeter team will be on hand to help first time guests! So stop by the info desk to:

  • Register
  • Get a new kid’s prize pack
  • Get a name tag and
  • We’ll escort you to the location for your child’s age/grade.

Check in is required for all ages, birth through 5th grade.

Sign out (along with a matching security tag system) is required when picking up a child from The Nest (our nursery) and our toddler environment.

Safety is important to us. You’ll know adults who are cleared to serve at Kids @ First by their name tags. All volunteers who serve in our children’s ministry have completed an application, been fingerprinted and have had a background check.

We use the same cutoff dates for age groups that weekday schools use, December 1, so that your child will be in an age appropriate environment — and both kids and leaders have a great experience!

DURING THE 8:45 EQUIP HOUR:


 

Power Up Cafe is available only on Sundays when EQUIP classes for adults take place.

  • The Nest ~ Babies 6 thru 2 yr olds
  • Power Up Cafe  ~ PreK thru elementary

Power Up Cafe includes a CEREAL BAR and extended learning experiences that complement our 10:00 environments each week!  This multi-age environment is a lot of fun and includes a wide variety of activities like games, music, movies, arts & crafts – something different every week that links to our 10:00 environments.

Ahava Valley!

Ahava means LOVE in Hebrew. God’s love is in the background of all we do at Kids @ First! Ahava Valley is our nursery through preschool experience 10:00 with a separate environment for each age group …

  • Babies up to 14 months ~ The Nest
  • Toddlers (14 months up)
  • 2 yr olds (by 12/1/11)
  • 3 yr olds (by 12/1/11)
  • 4 yr olds (by 12/1/11)

Note:  Babies can move up to Toddler room at their 14 month birthday or later if parents prefer.  All other age groups will ‘bump up’ to the next preschool age group together on 9/9/12 during our BIG ORANGE MOVE UP DAY!

From Nursery through Preschool at Ahava Valley we engage little ones in three basic truths of God’s love …

* God made me!  *God loves me!  *Jesus wants to be my friend forever!

At Ahava Valley kids explore hands-on fun that will MAKE IT FUN ~ MAKE IT TRUE ~ MAKE IT STICK ~ MAKE IT REAL. We help kids take a first look at God’s Word, the Bible, to discover His love for them!

for Kindergarten thru 5th grade

Our God is larger than life! And He has a larger than life plan for every one of us!

And that’s exactly what elementary age kids will come to know at Larger Than Life.

Every Sunday if kids arrive before the hour, there’s a fun plug in activity to do with their small group (by grade) linked to the day’s big idea. Then it’s time for large group – where kids hear, see and experience the Bible story in a fresh and exciting format–both live & video–and worship through fun songs!

Afterwards, kids break into small groups by grade with their leaders, who guide them in discovering personal, real life applications to the Bible story and monthly Bible memory verse through games, activities, prayer and just plain old fun!

THREE BASIC TRUTHS WE WANT KIDS TO KNOW:
I need to make the wise choice!
I can trust God no matter what!
I should treat others the way I want to be treated!

EVERY MONTH WE EXPLORE A NEW VIRTUE …
A virtue is something God does in you to change the world around you!

And every month kids will get a GIZMO to take home,
a fun kid-friendly item that’s tied to the theme and
includes the month’s Bible verse
